Rheinlander Restaurant
The Rheinlander Restaurant seeks to provide Portland an authentic German dining experience with just the right combination of old world charm and modern attention to detail. The rich dark woods adorning the walls create the vibe of a Bavarian hunting lodge, and families with children are welcome to choose from the specially-prepared kids' menu.
Menu highlights include schnitzel cordon bleu (veal or chicken cutlet stuffed with emmenthaler cheese and Oregon smoked ham then breaded and grilled and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables), jagerschnitzel (veal or chicken topped with shiitake, oyster and cremini mushrooms and a savory paprika sauce) and the Rheinlander berner plate (bratwurst, weisswurst and bier sausages served with rotisserie pork loin and mashed potatoes, red cabbage and sauerkraut).

Glockenspiel Restaurant
Nestled in the beating heart of Mt. Angel--home of one of the largest annual Oktoberfest celebrations in the United States--the Glockenspiel Restaurant is topped with a traditional Bavarian clock tower and decorated with festive art featuring children in lederhosen and red-faced tuba players. The focus is on creating a family environment steeped in German culture. The chefs work closely with local purveyors of fresh meats and produce to build an ever-changing menu tied to seasonal treats.
Stand-out dishes include the Oktoberfest plate with weiner schnitzel, German sausage and jager chicken; haselnuss schnitzel batter-fried and topped with chopped hazelnuts and fresh lemon; and rheinpfalz klopse mit apfel (hand-formed meatballs of beef and pork with fresh apples and served with a signature brown sauce).
