The Bluefish Bed and Breakfast is situated in Harwich town itself. Harwich has some of the most elegant classical architecture in New England, and the entire center of the villages is listed on the National Historic Register. Behind the Congregational Church, the 22-mile Cape Cod bike trail intersects the village. Visitors can rent bikes and travel to local cranberry bogs and the popular attraction Lavender Farm.

The Sandpiper Beach Inn, Harwichport
If travelers want coastal accommodations, they should try The Sandpiper Beach Inn at Harwichport. It contains 20 self-contained units with varying amenities, but each no more than 30 feet from the ocean. Each unit features color cable TV, telephones with voice mail, private baths with shower and/or tub, refrigerators, microwaves, and all-season climate control. Most have private patio. The more upscale units have a Jacuzzi, coffee maker, and DVD/VCR player. Continental breakfast and use of lounge chairs on the beach, beach umbrellas, beach towels are complimentary. It is a non-smoking inn that does not allow pets. Rates start at $159 per night off season, to $449 during high season depending on the size of room and amenities.
In addition to making the most of these units on the beach, guests can also rent a boat and sail around the harbor, or pack a picnic lunch for a day of hiking and biking. While staying here, guests can also enjoy the Cape Cod National Seashore, 40 acres of pristine sandy beach, marshes, lighthouses and wild cranberry bogs. Swimming is available throughout the seashore. Beach stickers may be purchased seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak Street.
The 7,600 acre Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge provides important resting, nesting and feeding habitat for migratory birds. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is comprised of 22 miles of bike trail from Dennis to Wellfleet, past ponds, cranberry bogs and forest. Nickerson State Park's 1,900 acres offers hiking trails, and an eight-mile bike path that connects to the 22-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail.
The Dolphin Fleet Cape Cod Whale Watching Tours are conducted off the shores of Provincetown and on the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. They are educationally based, and designed to enhance awareness of whales, other marine life and the marine habitat that surrounds the Cape.
