McGregor and Marquette are two small towns located in scenic northeast Iowa, where rolling hills, bluffs and woods meet the mighty Mississippi River. There are many antique stores, local wineries, local shops, fishing holes and town wide flea markets that attract visitors for miles.

Andy Mountain Log Cabins

Nestled beneath "Andy Mountain," the only bluff in Iowa with a giant stone "A" carved into the top, the Andy Mountain log cabins are located between two heavily wooded bluffs, only minutes from the Effigy Mounds State Park and across the road from the Mississippi River. The Yellow River State Park is located there as well. These cabins include a fully stocked kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, TV, Internet access, a grill on the porch and a fire pit for late night gatherings. Some of the best trout fishing in the entire state of Iowa is in the creeks of Allamakee County and the Effigy Mounds Park provides several very challenging hiking trails. These log cabins also provide good lodging for winter deer hunters or snowmobile fans.

Spook Cave & Campground

The Spook Cave & Campground is a seasonal attraction that is open from the months of May through October. Tours of the cave are provided, which visitors have to enter by boat. There are 5 cabins available in this campground, 2 of which have lake views. The woodland cabins were hand crafted by local Amish, and while the 3 types of cabins are all slightly different, all of them are supplied with bedding, kitchen utensils, heat/AC, picnic table, fire ring and all cabins include free swimming and fishing. There is a bonus for long term campers: anyone who rents 6 nights in a cabin at Spook Cave gets a 7th night free of charge.
