Yanceyville, Virginia, is a small community that is a part of the nearby Louisa township. The main area of Louisa rests about five miles northeast of Yanceyville, and is home to an airport, parks, shopping areas and the North Anna Nuclear Power Station. The power station, while providing most of the jobs in the area, also warms the waters of Lake Anna, and produces great fishing opportunities. Whatever the reason for visiting Yanceyville, there are plenty of places to stay in the surrounding area.

Ginger Hill Bed and Breakfast

The Ginger Hill Bed and Breakfast is about 15 minutes from Yanceyville and is located on a secluded, private area, which allows for sightseeing and hiking. It has a 2.5 acre fishing pond (with fishing poles for guests to use), and two beaver ponds. Other features include air-conditioning and ceiling fans, ample parking, a fireplace and a large sitting room. The inn offers two rooms with a private bath and sitting area. TVs, VCRs and wireless Internet are available in each room as well. A large breakfast is served every morning, as well as refreshments and snacks throughout the day. You may also request a candlelight dinner, a light supper or picnic lunch for an additional fee.

Prospect Hill Plantation

The Prospect Hill Plantation Inn is bed and breakfast located 15 minutes away from Yanceyville. It offers a full restaurant and five rooms in the main house, with a number of cabins and cottages on the property for rent as well--some dating as far back as 1699. The 1699 is a small log cabin and is the oldest original dwelling in central Virginia. It has a private bathroom with a double Jacuzzi, queen bed, fireplace and a deck overlooking the plantation home's swimming pool, which guests can use. All rooms come equipped with a television and access to wireless Internet, and most rooms and cabins include a double Jacuzzi.

Rebel Motel

The Rebel Motel is located in Louisa, Virginia, about 15 minutes away from Yanceyville. Each of the motel's 30 rooms comes with free cable and a large television, free local calling and wireless Internet. A coffee machine is available in the room, and fresh coffee served in the lobby from morning to night. Vending and ice machines are just outside the rooms, and there is direct access to the parking lot from your door.
