Texans are known for their barbecue traditions. According to Texasbarbeques.com, the differences that distinguish Texas barbecue from other regions of the country are the meats used, such as beef brisket, and the sweet, spicy, thick, tomato-based barbecue sauce. Texas barbecue is said to contain "special" seasonings that are used to rub on the meat before grilling. Residents of Dallas have numerous barbecue restaurants available to them that offer great-tasting barbecue, fresh sides and desserts.
