Lake Michigan Fishing Charters in Indiana

Lake Michigan is bordered by several states, including Indiana's northern point. Visitors to the area will find fishing charters that offer services on the lake to give anglers a productive experience in catching trout, steelhead, chinook and coho. Other attractions in northern Indiana include casinos, the city of Chicago to the west and parks located on the edge of the water.

Friendly Gesture Charters

Friendly Gesture Charters has been in service for more than 24 years (as of March 2010), offering fishing excursions on Lake Michigan. Charters run from April through September and last either six or eight hours. The charter trips usually fish for trout, salmon, steelhead, chinook and brown trout.

Brother Nature Fishing Adventures

Brother Nature Fishing Adventures offers charters from several marinas in Indiana, depending on your location and weather conditions. Most trips are a mile or less from the banks, but on occasion, further travel is needed to find the fish. Licenses for both Indiana and Illinois are offered for purchase, depending on where the boat is headed. A variety of fish are possible in the waters, including several types of salmon and trout. Most excursions are between four and eight hours. A discount is offered for groups with kids under 14 or married couples.

Profishient Charters

Profishient Charters offers trips at the Michigan City marina during the spring. Anglers usually can catch their limit of coho, steelhead, brown trout and chinook. Trips are from five to eight hours and all equipment is provided.
