Kayenta, Ariz., is located near the northeast corner of Arizona within a few miles of Monument Valley, renowned for its expansive views of buttes and other iconic terrain of the Southwest American region. Lodgings in and near Kayenta make use of the rich Navajo culture permeating the local area to create an original experience for their guests. Commonly, guests can visit the front desks of their establishment to peruse local brochures or ask the front desk for information on local activities, which include guided scenic tours, hiking, experiencing the local culture and boating.

The Best Western Wetherill Inn in Kayenta is a AAA two-diamond-rated hotel establishment situated within a mile of the Navajo Culture Center at the Navajo Community Center in Tsaile, Ariz. Room amenities include air-conditioning, 30-minute free local calls, satellite television as well as analog dial-up Internet access and data ports located within the work area. The hotel also offers a complimentary continental breakfast and heated indoor pool, and it is adjacent to the Golden Sands Cafe, which offers Navajo and American cuisine. No pets are allowed at the hotel.

Hampton Inn Kayenta

The Hampton Inn Kayenta is an adobe-style hotel that reaches three stories tall and includes a spacious lobby and rooms decorated in a style evocative of Arizona's American Indian history. The 73 different guestrooms contain either one king-sized bed, one king-sized bed with study and sofa bed, or two double beds. They also are furnished with high-speed Internet access, coffeemaker, ironing board and television. The hotel also offers a complimentary continental breakfast and contains the Reuben Heflin Restaurant, a full-service restaurant that opens earlier for lunch during the winter seasons.

The View Hotel

The View Hotel, situated about 25 miles away from Kayenta in the township of Oljato-Monument Valley, is the only hotel operating within the limits of Utah and Arizona's historic Monument Valley. Guestrooms at The View Hotel include standard rooms, with two queen-sized beds; king suites, with one king-sized bed and a leather couch; and star-view rooms, located on the hotel's top floor with larger windows for better views of the terrain. The View Restaurant, located within the hotel, serves Navajo-style cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner; although the Navajo Nation is a dry nation and alcohol is not served within the borders of Monument Valley, non-alcoholic beer is available.
