After a long day on the trails, unwind on your private balcony at the Rivers Edge Motel, just half a mile from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The 21 rooms offer a choice of a single bed, two beds or a family suite, some of which are nonsmoking and all of which have free high-speed wireless Internet. Some rooms also include a refrigerator. The Rivers Edge Motel is close to attractions such as the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Unto These Hills Outdoor Drama and the replica Oconaluftee Indian Village. You can also test your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. For hikers also interested in fishing, Cherokee restocks its 30 miles of streams with trout and other local specialties two times a week. The Rivers Edge Motel does not accept pets.

The Econo Lodge offers 45 rooms, each equipped with free high-speed Internet access. Nonsmoking rooms and rooms with refrigerators may be requested. Guests may take advantage of the motel's computer and hiking area. All guests receive free continental breakfast and may find other local eateries nearby, including Grandma's Pancake Barn, Paul's Diner and O'Mally's Pub and Grill. Your room at the Econo Lodge will put you less than half a mile from the Cherokee River Park, one mile from the Great Smoky National Park and 10 miles from the Smoky Mountain Railway. Two pets are allowed per room, up to 20 lbs. per pet.
