Steve's Soul Food Restaurant
Steve's Soul Food operates two locations in Detroit. Steve's Soul Food Market fronts Grand River Avenue on the West Side, while Steve's Downtown restaurant operates adjacent to the riverfront. Steve's Downtown is associated with The Key Club, which provides live music and open mic poetry to entertain guests. The downtown setting provides more of an upscale ambiance than the Grand River address.
Steve's Soul Food at Grand River serves soul food by the pound. Selections include ox tails, short ribs, candied yams and gumbo. Steve's Downtown menu is notable for its barbecued pig feet, New York strip steak and buttermilk fried catfish. Further, mashed potatoes, fried corn, and mixed vegetables are included with entrées as side dishes. Both restaurant locations are open for lunch and dinner every day. The Key Club accommodates weekend partygoers until the early morning hours, and enforces a business casual dress code.
