More renowned for its scenery and outdoor options than for its Peruvian cuisine, Portland, Oregon, offers several options when it comes to satisfying visitors' Andean cravings. With restaurants sprinkled throughout the city, Peruvian dining is available in Portland.

Andina Restaurant

Certainly Portland's most famous Peruvian establishment, Andina Restaurant comes highly recommended by professional food critics. Located in The Pearl, Portland's trendy but expensive northwest renovation, Andina offers lunch, dinner and happy hour seven days a week. Earning a spot on Robb Report's "100 Favorite Restaurants in the World," recommended dishes include marinated beef heart kebabs and skewered octopus with a chili pepper chimichurri (a green sauce from the region).

Limo Peruvian Restaurant

Up in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Portland, those who can't get a reservation at Andina often try Limo Peruvian Restaurant. Pronounced "Lee-mo," the restaurant is open all week and has slightly lower prices than its greatest competitor. Said to have an "outstanding" selection of Peruvian wines by Oregon Wine Lovers Group, Limo's outdoor patio dining is great for Portland's comfortable weather, May through October.
