Glacier National Park Vacation Cabins

Glacier National park covers an area of over one million acres and is located in Montana on the Canadian border. The area consists of mountains, forests and lakes and attracts two million visitors a year. Popular activities include ranger-led walks, backpacking, camping, boating and horse riding. Apgar Village is home to the "Discovery Cabin" where visitors can learn about the flora and fauna of the park.

The Tucker Cabin

Located two-and-a-half miles from the park's west entrance, the cabin sleeps up to 10 guests in two bedrooms plus a loft, and features two bathrooms. A deck complete with outdoor furniture and a barbecue wraps around the cabin. A fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and ice maker. Satellite television is included and there is a washing machine and dryer. Parking is spacious enough for an RV, boat and trailer. Fly fishing in the nearby lakes and streams is a popular activity, and hiking trails include the 12-mile Highline Trail.

Lake McDonald Boathouse

Situated on the edge of Lake McDonald, walking distance from the village of Apgar and two miles from West Glacier, where there is an 18-hole golf course. The cabin sleeps four guests in one bedroom and a loft. The bedroom features a king-size bed while the loft includes two futons. Guests enjoy the use of a fully fitted kitchen, including a microwave, and an outdoor barbecue. Swim or catch the sun on the cabin's private beach and dock. Cable television is included and parking can accommodate RVs and boat trailers.

The Grizzly Cabin

The cabin is located on the Smoky Bear Ranch close to the West Glacier entrance to the Glacier National Park. The ranch is set amid forest, and is convenient for all the activities of the region, including wilderness hiking, fishing, horseback riding and white water rafting. The ranch owners can help with booking activities. The Grizzly Cabin can accommodate 10 guests in three bedrooms and a bunk room with two full bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen is complemented by the dining table with seating for 10, and a wood-burning stove. A laundry features a front-loading washing machine and a dryer.
