The Salem Inn offers 40 guest rooms and suites in three historic homes on the National Register of Historic Places: the West House, Curwen House and Peabody House. Rooms feature antique furnishings, a private bath, cable television, air-conditioning, wireless Internet access and YMCA passes. Reserve a room with a fireplace, oversized whirlpool tub, or fully equipped kitchenette, depending on your needs. Wake up to a continental breakfast and walk to several parks and other downtown Salem amenities. The Salem Inn is near Essex and Summer streets and four blocks from a train station.

Coach House Inn

The Coach House Inn features 11 one- or two-room suites in a historic Victorian mansion built by a sea captain in 1879, according to the inn's website. Suites feature four-poster beds with private baths, fireplaces, and colorful wallpaper. Breakfast is served each morning to your room's front door and tickets to the Salem Witch Museum are provided with an extended stay. The Coach House Inn is two blocks from the harbor and Forest River Park, which features two beaches, picnic areas and Pioneer Village, a three-acre Puritan village.

Hawthorne Hotel

Relax at the hotel's fireplace tavern or dine at the on-site restaurant and listen to live piano music on weekend nights. Amenities include a business center, exercise room and free access to an athletic club with two pools. Pets are welcome at the Hawthorne and the hotel's downtown location provides plenty of places to walk furry friends. The Hawthorne Hotel is located just off of the Massachusetts 1A near Essex Street.
