Ski Lodges in Minnesota
Minnesota has a long, cold winter season with a high average yearly snowfall, which makes it an ideal destination for skiers. Visitors will find several ski areas spread throughout the state, along with lodges that provide ski-in/ski-out access or are within a half-mile drive. The ski areas also have on-site dining and provide off-season activities such as golf, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

The Lodge at Giants Ridge

The Lodge at Giants Ridge offers 92 condominium suites that range from one to four bedrooms, as well as lakeside villas, and has ski-in/ski-out access to Giants Ridge ski resort. Suite amenities include wireless Internet access, rustic log furniture, and kitchenettes in select units. The lodge has an indoor pool and hot tub, an outdoor pool with lounge area, as well as a spa, a game room, a fitness room and a laundry facility. The lodge provides numerous summer activities, including canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

The Lodge has two restaurants on-site: Timbers Restaurant and the Stick Lounge, with Timbers offering American fare fine dining and a variety of beverages, and the Sticks Lounge serving drinks and casual meals of regional cuisine.

Giants Ridge has a beginners area, 34 ski runs, two terrain parks, 60 kilometers of cross-country trails, and a full-service rental facility for guests, among other features.

Caribou Highlands Lodge

Caribou Highlands Lodge is a ski-in/ski-out lodge located at Lutsen Mountain ski resort. It offers hotel-style lodge rooms that include a flat-panel TV, microwave and mini-refrigerator as well as whirlpool tubs in select rooms. The lodge has indoor and outdoor heated pools as well as three hot tubs. Guests have access to a fitness room, a laundry area and an outdoor play area for children, along with tennis and volleyball courts in summer. The lodge also offers condominiums, townhomes, and log cabins.

Guests will enjoy the convenience of Moguls Grille and Tap Room, an on-site restaurant that is open from breakfast until dinner and serves American cuisine and cocktails, while giving diners views of the slopes.

Lutsen Ski Area covers 1,000 acres spread over four mountains and features 87 ski runs, a terrain park and ten ski lifts along with other activities, including sleigh rides and dog sledding.

Mountain Inn

Mountain Inn is a 30-room lodge that is also located in the Lutsen Mountain ski area. It offers free complimentary breakfast, a hot tub and high-speed Internet access. Rooms include two double beds or one queen bed and provide cable TV and a work desk. Mountain Inn is smoke-free, handicap accessible, and pet-friendly. The inn is within a quarter mile of the ski slopes and the five restaurants at the ski area. Guests also have access to a hiking trail that runs throughout the forest surrounding the inn.
