Palmetto is in central Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, and like most cities by the water, it has plenty of marinas and other amenities for boaters. Because there are many choices for those who want to slip their boats along the Gulf coast in Palmetto, a good way to decide is to determine what atmosphere you prefer--formal or family, lots of activity or lots of privacy.

Regatta Pointe Marina

Regatta Pointe Marina has an excellent location right on the Manatee River inlet that offers protected harbor from the Gulf waters and still allows immediate access to open water. The marina has a country club feel with all of the appropriate amenities including water, electric, cable TV, sewer pump-out, telephone hookup from Verizon and dock box at the slip. Facility amenities include pool, laundry facilities, bathhouse, barbecue grill, Jacuzzi, dock carts, garbage pickup daily, club houses, shuttle to airport, ice, coffee, pastries on the weekends, local newspaper, ship store and lots more. Cut's Edge Harbor Marina

Cut's Edge Harbor Marina is a low-key, relaxed marina. It offers wet or dry storage and a private boat ramp for members. With a 40-ton travel lift, there are very few boats it cannot manage in dry storage or an in/out service. The marina hauls out boats up to an 18-foot beam. Located close to the inlet of the Manatee River on the Gulf, you get right out in the action from your slip, but still get protection from the open water when needed. For more information on what slips the marina has to offer, contact Cut's Edge Harbor Marina.
