While some people see Disney World in Florida as an area geared toward kids young enough to belong to the Mickey Mouse Club, there is a whole other world for adults who favor sports. The hotels around Disney World all have accommodations geared for the outdoors enthusiast. Finding a place close to Disney World is an easy chore thanks to the wide variety of on-park accommodations. There are several choices for lodging, ranging from cheap to expensive, basic to extravagant and modern to pioneer. Walt Disney World Resort offers value rooms, moderately priced rooms and deluxe villas for nightly rentals. For those who like to "rough it," Disney World offers camping at Fort Wilderness as an option. These properties offer a variety of amenities, sports and recreation options as well as transportation options to and from the park.

Residence Inn is located about five minutes from Walt Disney World. The motel offers amenities such as free parking, a complimentary buffet breakfast, including coffee, free evening reception, concierge and a safe deposit box. Also, dinner delivery service from local restaurants is provided as well as access to a full-service business center. Guests also can take advantage of the outdoor heated pool, whirlpool and the hotel's fitness center. Buena Vista Palace

Buena Vista Palace is located across from Downtown Disney. A complimentary shuttle transports guests to Downtown Disney, and all the other parks at Disney World. Guests of the palace also enjoy preferred tee times at the Walt Disney World Resort golf courses. If golf isn't your thing, there are many other sports from which to choose. Tennis, basketball and sand volleyball are all options. A fitness center and a jogging track are also available. If relaxing is more your goal, a whirlpool and sauna are located on site. A 24-hour cyber cafe is open for those who want to surf the Internet. An on-site spa is provided for guests, including 60 massage therapies and beauty treatments. Four dining options can be chosen for a variety of meals.
