Gulfport is one of the southern most cities in Mississippi sitting on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. The city has several attractions like Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Gulf Islands Water Park, Harrison Country Skate Park and Hockey Complex and Ship Island Excursions. Gaming can be found at the Island View Casino and Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. Visitors can find budget or luxury hotels located near downtown or close to the gulf.

The Sun Suites‎ is close to the airport and next door to Gulport's sister city, Boloxi. Along with all the nearby gaming facilities, the hotel is close to the Harrison County Sports Complex and the Harrison County Equestrian Center. The Legacy Inn is located close to the Gulfport Dragway, Naval Base and Gulfport Sportsplex. Guests will enjoy the nearby Gulf Islands Water Park. Each of the rooms provide the guests with a coffee maker, hair dryer, cable television, wireless Internet service, microwave, refrigerator and there are Jacuzzi suites available. There are several fast-food restaurants within walking distance, but if the guests want a different type of dining facility they will have to drive a short way to find one. Places like Villa Pizza, Smartinis Lounge and Bistro or Catfish Charlie are located within three miles of the hotel.

The Crystal Inn is surrounded by attractions like the NASA Stennis Space Center, Walter Anderson Museum of Art and activities like casinos, golf courses, charter fishing or the Gulfport beaches. The guests rooms have microwaves, refrigerators, cable television, wireless Internet service, coffee makers, hair dryers and a host of other amenities in them.
