Nuwara Eliya ("city of light") in the southern central zone of Sri Lanka is at the base of the country's highest mountain, Pidurutalagala, and recognized most for its high-quality tea production. The Tea Factory

The Tea Factory is a renovated tea house that functioned during the time of the British Raj and now serves as a four-star hotel. All 57 rooms are decorated in the colonial style and offer views of the surrounding tea plantations, luxurious bathrooms with Tea Factory toiletries, heating, satellite television, a mini-bar and a coffee and tea maker.
