The town of Vernal is located in northern Utah and provides its visitors recreational areas such as the reservoirs at Steinaker State Park and Red Fleet State Park. Both of these sites offers opportunities for water activities such as fishing and boating. Vernal is only minutes away from the Dinosaur National Monument, which features facilities for mountain climbing and camping. Best Western

This chapter of Best Western is known as the Dinosaur Inn and features amenities such as complimentary shuttle services to Vernal Regional Airport, outdoor swimming pool and an on-site restaurant. This hotel has been given two-diamond rating by AAA. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. Pets are not allowed to stay at this hotel. Best Western is located on Main Street/U.S. Highway 40, which enable its guests to have quick access to recreational areas, including the Green River, which is approximately 20 minutes east of Vernal. The Green River recreational area features hiking paths, including the Geology Trail and Sound of Silence Hiking Route, as well as facilities for camping, fishing and whitewater rafting.

Days Inn on West Main Street provides its guests with amenities such as complimentary passes to the nearby Vernal Athletic Club, as well as parking spaces for RVs and large trucks. Guest rooms at Days Inn feature a microwave, refrigerator and free access to Wi-Fi Internet. It also has rooms available for guests who have physical disabilities. Days Inn is less than 10 minutes from ATV trails such as Rainbow and Island Park, a 29-mile trail that runs from Vernal to Dinosaur National Monument, as well as Browns Park Drive, a 78-mile trail that runs through recreational areas that includes Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge, Crouse Canyon and the John Jarvie Historic Property.

Rodeway Inn

Rodeway Inn, a Choice Hotel, provides its guests with quick access to recreational sites in the area, including the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, which is home to a 150-mile hiking and cycling trail that runs through the towns of Vernal, Manila and Dutch John. This recreational site also features Flaming Gorge Reservoir, which offers opportunities for fishing and boating excursions. The hotel provides its guests with amenities such as a business center with fax and printing services, guest laundromat, an on-site Chinese restaurant (Win-On) and an ice cream parlor. Each guestroom has an ironing board and cable television, while select rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. Pets are allowed to stay for a nominal fee.
