Yellow Springs is located in Greene County, Ohio. The famously liberal town is part of the Dayton Metropolitan area and was founded in 1825 by 100 followers of the social reformer and philosopher, Robert Owen. This village is home to the John Bryan State Park, which contains many hiking and biking trails as well as a campground. When visiting, guests of the park can experience the area's nature and wildlife.

The Holiday Inn Springfield-South is located two miles from the Perrin Woods Park and the Selma Road Park. Three miles from the hotel is the Virgil A Mabra Park and the Davey Moore Park. A few miles from the Courtyard Springfield Downtown is the George Rogers Clark Park. This park is on 248-acres and is one of the historic Revolutionary War battle sites. Guests can participate in activities such as picnicking, hiking, non-motor boating, and hiking at this park.
