Saluda, VA Area Hotels

Saluda, Virginia, is located close to the Chesapeake Bay and Urbanna Creek. Area hotels often offer beautiful views of the waterfront, as well as boat docking, fresh seafood and luxurious accommodations. The Hope and Glory Inn

The Hope and Glory Inn, located on the Chesapeake Bay's shore approximately 16 miles from Saluda, Virginia, features seven rooms and 13 cottages. The hotel was once an 1890's schoolhouse, and each room is decorated differently from the rest. The Hope and Glory Inn's property is lush with English gardens and meandering paths, with music floating overhead. The moon garden blooms in the evenings and the inn features a private outdoor shower and tub. One of the inn's personal captains will sail you around the Chesapeake Bay, and the inn's Vineyard Grove offers a pool and a dock where you can paddle your kayak from. Fridays at the inn offer Crab Cruises, and each Saturday you'll be able to dine at the Chef's Table. Guests can ride a complimentary bike to one of three golf courses or to a massage therapist. Specialty room amenities include monogrammed robes and Hope and Glory toiletries. Pets are welcome in select rooms.

Liberty at Compass Quay

Liberty at Compass Quay, located on the Urbanna Creek and approximately six miles from Saluda, has 12 rooms and three suites. Every room has its own balcony that overlooks the waterfront. Shops are located on the premises, as are the Gallery On the Creek, and event and meeting space. Guests with boats can anchor at Urbanna's harbor, and fishing or sailing trips can be scheduled through the hotel. The hotel's BayBerries gourmet shop is open daily and sells handmade gifts like jewelry and blankets, plus gift baskets and international products. Liberty at Compass Quay offers complimentary breakfast, and in-room dining is provided via the Boathouse Cafe.

Tides Inn

The Tides Inn, located in Virginia's Northern Neck on the Virginia Wine Trail and approximately 17 miles from Saluda, overlooks Carters Creek. The inn has a marina, 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, tennis courts and luxurious spa. Other inn attributes include a fitness center, outdoor pool, sailing school, children's program and gift shop. Water sports equipment is available, such as paddle boats, kayaks, duffy boats and canoes. Dine at the Chesapeake Club restaurant, featuring American cuisine. The Commodore's pool grill, located at the main pool, is a waterfront cafe that serves lunch and early dinner. The grill's menu offers smoothies, burgers and specialty cocktails. Pets are welcome.
