Fort Scott, Kan., is located about 100 miles south of Kansas City, Kan. Home to the Fort Scott National Historic Site and National Cemetery, the town was built around a military fort in the 1840s. Visitors looking for accommodations in Fort Scott can choose from several historic bed and breakfast-style inns. There also are traditional motels, such as the Heritage Inn and Suites or Fort Scott Inn.

Heritage Inn and Suites is operated by LaCross Management, LLC. The pet-friendly hotel offers double and single queen rooms and suites. Fort Scott Inn

The Fort Scott Inn offers 78 rooms, including options for single queen, single king or two double beds. Each room features electronic key locks, individual heat and air condition units, wireless Internet, cable television and a phone with a data port. Some rooms include a microfridge and recliner. The motel features an outdoor pool, patio, indoor spa, fitness center and restaurant. Meeting facilities can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Courtland Hotel

The Courtland Hotel is located in the historic downtown district of Fort Scott. The hotel features 15 second floor non-smoking rooms. Each room has a private bath, individual room climate controls and television room options include queen bed, king bed, double bed or twin bed. Breakfast is included in the rate. A day spa is located on the first floor of the hotel.
