The second largest city in Ohio, Cleveland is approximately 140 miles north of Columbus. For outdoor enthusiasts, the city is within 30 minutes of many trails, including five located at Bedford Reservation. The trails provide views of Bridal Veil Falls as well as Tinker's Creek Gorge, which is nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of Ohio." Visitors to Cleveland have a variety of dining options to choose from, including seafood restaurants that range from sushi bars to upscale establishments.

Fat Fish Blue

Fat Fish Blue is a small chain of five Cajun restaurants. The Cleveland location is less than 17 miles from the Bedford Reservation. The menu begins with nine appetizer selections like the fried pickles and the blue crab, spinach and artichoke dip. A house specialty is the catfish, prepared pan-fried, beer battered or deep fried. Another is the Fat Fish bowl, a combination of crawfish, mussels, shrimp and andouille sausage. Fat Fish Blue is open daily for lunch and dinner. The restaurant hosts live music five nights per week. The restaurant has no dress code. A kid's menu is available for young diners.

Don's Lighthouse

Don's Lighthouse is .3 miles from Edgewater Park, an Ohio state park with three biking trails and paths for cross-country skiing. To start the meal, diners can sample Don's chowder, a tomato-based soup made with fresh fish and shellfish. Among the restaurants seafood entrees is the Bay of Fundy salmon served with sweet potato hash and sauteed spinach in an orange-bourbon sauce. Another is the Chilean sea bass, which comes with a crab cake and asparagus. The wine list includes more than 50 domestic and imported varieties. Don's Lighthouse is open on weekdays for lunch and nightly for dinner. Business casual attire is appropriate.

The Nauti Mermaid

Located in Cleveland's warehouse district, the Nauti Mermaid is 30 miles from Headlands Beach State Park, which features two hiking trails and paths for cross-country skiing in winter. The restaurant's menu draws inspiration from a number of culinary traditions with dishes like the salmon gyro, spicy fish tacos, soy and ginger grilled yellowfin tuna and beer-battered perch. The bar serves 10 draft beers and a variety of spirits and cocktails. Nauti Mermaid serves lunch and dinner. Casual attire is appropriate.

Sunset Lounge

Specializing in cocktails and sushi, Sunset Lounge is less than 17 miles from Bedford Reservation. The menu includes a number of a la carte choices like salmon, tuna, spicy scallops and giant clam. The sushi chef also prepares a variety of specialty hand-rolls, which include the California and spicy tuna. The restaurant's bar serves 40 specialty drinks, including the Tom Collins and the cinnamon and vanilla bean martini. Sunset Lounge is open nightly for dinner, with the exception of Sunday, when the restaurant is closed. The typical dress is business casual.
