Located just 20 minutes east of Tampa, the city of Brandon, Florida, is near many of the areas attractions and activities. Go biking at Lettuce Leaf Regional Park, picnic by Lake Thonotosassa to the north, or head to Tampa Bay for beaches, fishing, restaurants and shopping. There are several RV parks near Brandon that cater to seniors with a variety of activities and social gatherings, so you're sure to find one to suit your needs.

Tampa East RV Resort

The Tampa East RV Resort is located just north of downtown Brandon, and the park offers full RV hookups including water, sewer and electric service as well as permanent sites.

You'll find three outdoor pools within the resort as well as a heated spa. The Tampa East RV Resort offers many activities for seniors, from shuffleboard games to bocce ball tournaments, and there are great outlet malls and golf courses located nearby.

You can rent a site at the Tampa East RV Resort by the night, by the week or more long-term.

Spanish Main RV Resort

A short drive north from Brandon up Interstate 75 will bring you to the Spanish Main RV Resort, which is located between Lake Thonotosassa and Lettuce Lake Regional Park.

The RV Park has 275 large, grassy sites for RVs with full hookups that include water, sewer and electric. You also will find free wireless Internet access throughout the park.

The Spanish Main RV Resort has an outdoor heated swimming pool and a large recreation hall where social gatherings geared toward seniors are regularly held. Make new friends over a Thursday night game of pinochle, shop at the Saturday morning flea market, or grab your poles and head to one of the two fishing ponds on the property.

Lazydays RV Center

Convenient to both Interstates 4 and 75, the Lazydays RV Center is a campground with many amenities. It offers 300 sites with full hookups for RVs that include water, sewer and 50-amp electric service. There is free wireless Internet access throughout the park, and cable TV also is included in your stay.

One of the most attractive perks of a stay at Lazydays RV Center is that breakfast and lunch are complimentary for all guests, Monday through Saturday. The campground has a heated pool and Jacuzzi and plenty of games to keep seniors active such as horseshoe pits, tennis courts and even pickleball, a miniature version of tennis.

A Flying J travel center is located on site, and there is both a Cracker Barrel restaurant and a Camping World store for any supplies you might have forgotten.
