Anna Maria Fishing Charters in Florida
The picturesque Anna Maria Island, nestled on the Gulf of Mexico along Florida's southwest coast, is a favorite destination for sport fishing. Tarpon in the waters near Anna Maria Island range from about 60 to 150 pounds and the best time for catching them (and releasing) is from May through July. The backwaters and flats surrounding Anna Maria Island are popular places for snook, redfish and trout fishing. Several local outfitters offer a variety of fishing charters year-round.
