Carnot Posey House
The Carnot Posey House is a small abode built in 1845. It was the home to Carnot Posey, a general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Posey was wounded at Bristoe Station, Virginia, and died on November 13, 1863. His home in Woodville, Mississippi was converted into a quaint three-room bed and breakfast for guests who wanted a little history with their stay. Much of the furniture of the inn strives to replicate the Civil War time period, but with modern amenities for comfort. Each room has its own private bathroom, and access to free wireless Internet. The common room offers a generous breakfast with made-to order food, in a relaxing atmosphere. There is also a hot tub and heated pool on the grounds.
