The county seat of Forest County in northwestern Pennsylvania, Tionesta is a small, quiet community located along the Allegheny River. Allegheny National Forest is just five miles to the east of town and along with the river offers a bounty of outdoor activity, including hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and hunting. While you won't find major hotel chains located in town, there are a handful of motels and inns that offer clean accommodations for the outdoor adventure seeker.

Eagle Rock Motel‎

Located along the Upper Allegheny River, the Eagle Rock Motel‎ is a long, slung-out complex situated in a park-like setting. The rooms offer basic necessities with color cable television, minifridges, microwaves and coffee pots, but the real draw of the motel is the canoe and kayak service. Not only does the motel rent the craft for you to navigate the river, but they take you to a designated spot upriver from the motel and allow you to make your way back to the motel via the river. The motel and the grounds are located on the north end of town, with several restaurants located within five blocks of the property.
