Lost Alaskan RV Park
The Lost Alaskan RV Park is in Alpine, the headquarters for Big Bend National Park. There are mountains and the Rio Grande River in the region. Visitors can raft and canoe the famous river, and hike, backpack, rock climb and bird watch at Big Bend National Park. The Lost Alaskan has sites for RVs of most sizes. There are water, sewer, Wi-Fi, and 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Pets are allowed. Bathrooms and showers are available. Picnic tables and barbecue grills, a guest house, a swimming pool and laundry are on the premises for guests' use. Armadillos and a variety of bird species can be spotted around the campground.

The Country Place RV Park is near the Sam Houston National Forest in east Texas. Guests of the RV park have convenient access to the many trails and hiking routes within the Sam Houston Forest. There are also mountain biking and backpacking opportunities in the forest. Canoeing, fly fishing and lake fishing, kayaking, bird watching, and wildlife observation are available in the surrounding region. Country Place offers sites for a range of RV sizes. Pets are welcome. Site connections include water, sewer, Wi-Fi, and 30- or 50-amp electric. Wash off in the hot showers after a day of exploring the national forest. There are picnic tables, barbecue grills, a laundry room, a guest room and a dump station at the Country Place RV Park.

South Padre Island KOA
The South Padre Island KOA offers a range of services to RV travelers in the south Texas and Gulf Coast region. The KOA is near the white sandy beaches of the South Padre Island. Surfing, scuba diving and bird watching are within minutes of the KOA. Kemp's Ridley sea turtles come ashore on South Padre Island each year to lay their eggs. Dolphins can be seen swimming in the waters off the coast. The KOA has an 80-foot maximum pull-through length and boasts 30- and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer hookups. Wi-Fi and cable TV connections are available. Pets are allowed. Good Sam and AAA members receive discounted fees for stays.
