RV Camping near Fremont, Nebraska

Fremont, Nebraska, is on the eastern side of the state near the border with Iowa. Several campgrounds and RV parks are nearby and offer a variety of amenities. At the western edge of town is Fremont State Recreation Area, and Dead Timber State Recreation Area is a short drive north. These parks along with the Platte River give you plenty of chances for outdoors activities such as fishing, hiking and swimming.

Fremont State Recreation Area

Fremont State Recreation Area is located just west of Fremont in Ames, Nebraska. Recreational opportunities include swimming, fishing, boating, playground equipment and picnicking.

Park benefits include a dump station, shelters, restrooms, showers and drinking water. A camp store is on site to provide you with any needed supplies.

There are a total of 200 RV sites that come with water and 20- or 30- amp electrical connections on concrete pads. There are 612 tent sites also available.

Nearby interests include the Nebraska Railroad Museum and Boys Town Hall of History.

Riverland Resort

Riverland Resort is in Blair, Nebraska, northeast of Fremont. Activities include swimming in the outdoor pool, playing a round of miniature golf and fishing the Missouri River.

Other recreation such as basketball, volleyball and tennis will ensure that everyone has something to do.

Resort benefits include laundry facilities, showers, Wi-Fi service, a camp store and boat ramps. Sites come equipped with full or partial hookups, up to 50-amp electrical connections and picnic tables. Some pull-through sites are available.

West Omaha KOA

West Omaha KOA is in Gretna, south of Fremont, Nebraska. Fun recreational activities include listening to live entertainment, planned kids activities, swimming in the outdoor pool, enjoying a round of miniature golf and biking on trails.

Campground features include free Wi-Fi service, firewood sales, a camp store and a snack shop.

Sites come with full hookups and electrical connections up to 50 amps. A number of the sites are designed as pull-throughs for up to 80-foot RVs. Tent sites and cabins also are available.

Nearby you will find such attractions as the Henry Doorly Zoo and Durham Western Heritage Museum.
