Though Newport, Kentucky might be small, what it lacks in size it packs with local spirit that is seen at every eatery, attraction and hotel. Just serving 17,000 locals, Newport gains its most attention from the tourists who visit its sprawling attractions--from the Newport Aquarium to BB Riverboats, the Levee and World Peace Bell (world's largest swinging bell). Tourists enjoy the easy access to Cincinnati, where the town's river catches a brilliant scene of the Cincinnati shore at night.

Bob Evans Restaurant

Though it might be a chain, for many Newport, Kentucky restaurants the Bob Evans in town is the place to wake up. Bob Evans offers two different breakfast menus (one "fit for the farm" that offers healthier options for the normal calorie- heavy meal) as well as a hefty display of meals like biscuit bowls, breakfast burritos, Belgian Waffles, biscuits and gravy and scrambles. Vegetarians are welcome as well, with entrees like oatmeal or an assortment of pancakes. Originally dishing up food for his farmer friends, Bob Evans' establishment has grown to include over 600 restaurants in the United States. The venue offers great carry out service, as well as lunch and dinner; so even if you don't make it to the weekend brunch (which is hard to do since the Newport location is often busy), enjoy some of the other menu items later in the day.

With exceptional prices and a Sunday Brunch that has residents and visitors flocking to it, this casual breakfast and coffee eatery is great for the whole family.

If you're not in the mood for a long line, don't worry; the Mammoth Café equally attracts as many guests with their take out menu. With the friendly wait staff you'll find it easy to wile away the day in their wraparound booths with access to daily newspapers or magazines. Mokka

As one of the few breakfast places in the area, Mokka is often filled to the brim during the early hours of the morning with patrons in search of a steaming hot cup of coffee and a plate full of hash browns and eggs. Housed within a nightclub, this small venue offers guests the typical breakfast fare complete with a full bar and service into the late afternoon. Options in which to indulge include the California frittata, French toast and yogurt sundae. Pleasing both meat lovers and vegetarians alike, this place is best for small groups as the wait can sometimes be long. The prices are unbelievable, and Mokka and the Sunset Bar and Grill accepts credit cards.
