The Best RV Campgrounds in Idaho

Idaho is home to the Sawtooth Mountains and the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, and it shares the Grand Tetons with Wyoming. Ernest Hemingway wrote about the wonders of Ketchum, Idaho, and called it home. Downhill and cross-country skiing, telemarking, rock and ice climbing, bouldering, river rafting, fly-fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hiking all are possible in Idaho. The Ambassador has sites for most RV sizes. Site hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. There are hot showers, a dump station, bathrooms, barbecue stations and picnic facilities. Complimentary daily newspapers and coffee make the Ambassador stand out among the RV parks of the state and region. Pets are allowed if leashed.

Craters of the Moon/Arco KOA

Craters of the Moon KOA is located near the national monument of the same name. The KOA offers guests the familiarity and comfort of a chain campground.

The scenery around the campground has mountain views and hardened lava fields. The Snake River is located nearby. There are opportunities for rafting and fly-fishing on the Snake River.

There are water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp electric connections at RV sites. Pets are welcome.

The KOA is a Good Sam and AAA recognized and ranked park. Members of the travel clubs receive discounted rates.

McCall RV Resort is located near the North Fork Payette River. Guests staying at the resort have access to fly-fishing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and rock climbing. The resort enjoys a "Trailer Life" 10/10/9.5 rating.

RVs of most sizes can be accommodated. Sites have standard water, sewer and 20- 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Amenities include a laundry room, a guest lounge, bathrooms and showers, barbecue grills, a spa, an outdoor amphitheater and landscaped patios.
