Campgrounds With Cabins in East Bethel, Minnesota

East Bethel is an area of 48 square miles just north of Minneapolis, and the area has many lakes, wetlands, farms, prairies and streams. The Sandhill Crane Natural Area, the Cedar Creek Ecosystems Science Reserve and Coon Lake are all nearby. There are several campgrounds around the lakes in the area, with cabins, as well as trails and bike paths.

Ham Lake Campground

Ham Lake Campground is 30 minutes from Minneapolis and is nestled in the woods around Ham Lake. The campground has a lodge that sleeps six. It has a full kitchen and beds with linens. There is a full bath and shower, and the lodge has a fire pit and picnic table. The campground has 61 full hookup sites in two sections, and each section has laundry and bathroom facilities. There are 72 additional sites that have water and electricity, and are available for any type of camping. Ham Lake also has 10 tent sites that do not have hookups.
Paddle boats, fishing boats, canoes and bikes are available for rent. There are also game areas for volleyball and horse shoes. Activities are also planned during the summer, which might include a scavenger hunt or an appetizer pot luck.

Float Rite Park

Float Rite Park is a campground and a river tour company. The people who run the campground also offer tubing tours and float trips on local rivers. The resort has weekly entertainment in the summer and a variety of activities. There are over 700 campsites at the campground, and there are several levels of cabins available. Cabins come in the form of one- and two-bedroom structures, and A-frame suites that can sleep six. Suites have stoves, refrigerator, bedding, showers and bathrooms. Cabins have just a bed. Campsites range from full-hookup RV sites and pop-up sites with water and electricity, to primitive tent sites.

KOA Minneapolis NW

The KOA Minneapolis Northwest is 20 minutes from the city and still close enough to lakes and forests to offer many outdoor adventures. There are RV sites with full hookups, tent sites and one-room cabins available. The cabins have heat and air conditioning, are close to bathrooms and showers and the heated pool. The cabins are rustic but have electricity. There is room for up to four people. The campground has a swimming pool, mini-golf, snack bar and free Wi-Fi. There is firewood available.
