RV Parks Near Mt. Vernon, Georgia

Mount Vernon, Georgia, is a small city of about four square miles just south of Augusta, and 10 miles west of the state's border with South Carolina. Although there are no RV parks and campgrounds in the city itself, there are some nearby. For outdoor recreation such as hiking and biking, Sumter National Forest is within an hour's drive north and J. Strom Thurmond Reservoir is approximately half an hour away to the northwest. The Savannah River, with plenty of fishing opportunities, is close by.

Flynn's Inn Camping Village

Flynn's Inn Camping Village is located in Augusta, just minutes from Mount Vernon. It is not far from the Interstate 20 bypass. Although fairly basic, the campground has features such as shade trees, restrooms and showers, and it provides pull-through sites and big-rig access. There are 65 RV sites, which are equipped with full hookups, up to 50-amp electrical connections and optional phone service. Pets are allowed.

Heritage Mobile Home & RV Park

Heritage Mobile Home & RV Park is situated in Augusta. Park features include drinking water and high-speed Wi-Fi Internet service. Pets are welcome if kept on a leash. The 75 sites come with full or partial hookups. Deluxe big-rig sites also have picnic tables, cable TV and patios. There are no pull-through sites.

Sandy Branch R.V. Park

Sandy Branch R.V. Park is approximately 15 miles to the south of Mount Vernon in Waynesboro, Georgia. It is close to Highway 24. A general store/sandwich shop is less than two miles away, and outdoor recreation on the Savannah River is within a few miles. Hunting opportunities can be found close by at some of Georgia's public hunting areas. RV sites include full hookups with 50-amp electrical service, and rigs of any size are welcome for daily, weekly, or monthly stays.
