Lakeside, on the shores of Lake Erie in northern Ohio, is one of the few still-operating Chautauqua's remaining in the 21st Century. The Chautauqua was a popular educational movement in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Chautauqua assemblies would travel and educate through lectures, plays and concerts. Because of Lakeside's proximity to Lake Erie, there are various outdoor activities. Also, the area boasts a number of trails and parks. Accommodations in Lakeside, Ohio, provide you with various options.
