Black Hawk is a small, historic town in Gilpin County, Colorado set amid the beautiful mountains and lush pine trees of Gregory's Gulch, with a resident population of only 105 (according to 2008 U.S. Census Bureau estimates). The town was founded in 1859 as a mining settlement during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush, and today is part of a national landmark known as the Central City/Black Hawk Historic District. Tourism in the area increased around 1991 after the establishment of casino gambling. Along with it, numerous hotel accommodations became available.

The Lodge Casino

This newly remodeled, 50-room casino-hotel is nestled among spiraling granite mountaintops and offers gambling action 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The casino floor has more than 900 slot machines, a14-table poker room and 26 table games, including craps, roulette and blackjack. Interested parties should also inquire about the "Winners Club," which allows members to earn cash and comp dollars as they play. Hotel amenities include free valet parking, luggage service and four cocktail bars/lounges. On-site meal options include a fine dining restaurant, deli, buffet, room service and coffee house/ice cream parlor. Both smoking and nonsmoking guestrooms are available, as are handicap accessible rooms, which offer a choice of one king or two queen beds. All rooms feature cable TV with HBO, WiFi access, heating pad, humidifier, iron with ironing board, bathrobe, toiletries and mini-fridge upon request. This property does not allow pets.

This casino-hotel is one of the newest in Black Hawk, offering 24-hour gambling action, free valet or self parking in a secured garage, lobby-level gift shop, check cashing services and outdoor smoking patios and terraces. This 536-room luxury hotel is situated in the heart of Black Hawk. It includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, rooftop pool, hot tubs, sauna and full-service day spa with six treatment rooms offering everything from massages to facials and scrubs to pedicures.
