New Jersey is in a unique location with proximity to both New York City and Philadelphia, and it also has natural attractions like the beaches of the Jersey Shore and state parks in the southern part of the state. No matter where you go in New Jersey, you will find some interesting restaurants, including some Haitian choices.

Saveur Creole

Saveur Creole is the most traditional Haitian eatery in New Jersey. Its interior is decorated in blazing yellow paint with a large mural of the Caribbean on the wall. Saveur Creole's menu, which offers dine-in, carry-out and catering dishes, is a mix of seafood and spicy meat dishes. Among the house specials are girot mi casa, a pork dish served with fried plantains and spicy pickles, as well as chicken with a coconut creole curry sauce.
