Hocking Hills KOA
Located 50 miles from Brookville is the Hocking Hills KOA. The most popular campsite offered is the deluxe full-hookup, with a brick patio, gas grill, log swing and fire pit. The campground also offers other pull-through sites, back-in sites and tent sites. The facilities also include KOA Kamp Kabins, an Outdoorsman Lodge, the Deer Trail Lodge and the Scenic View Lodge. Pets are not permitted in the lodges. The amenities at Hocking Hills include a camp store, complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the campground, laundry facilities, a swimming pool and a playground. Weekends are filled with activities and themes put on by the campground, including the campground's own gem mine, or you can strike out on your own to nearby Hocking Hills State Forest for a hike. One of the state's most popular trails is the Grandma Gatewood Trail.

Buckeye Lake KOA
Located 62 miles north of Brookville, just off Interstate 70 outside Columbus, is the 40-acre Buckeye Lake KOA. It offers deluxe RV sites that include patios and a chiminea, full hookups, tent sites, 15 KOA Kabins and two lodges. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the park, a dog park that includes agility structures, a miniature golf course, jumping pillow and playground. Other facilities include a swimming pool, bicycle rentals, Kamping Kitchen, bath house and snack bar. Buckeye Lake is used by recreational boaters and other water sport enthusiasts and can be easily accessed through Buckeye Lake State Park. To escape the crowds on a busy weekend, try the moderate, 2.9-mile Oak Trail with Japanese Garden Spur seven miles north of the campground.

Huntington/Fox Fire KOA
Located 81 miles from Brookville in West Virginia is the Fox Fire KOA with 110 full-hookup RV sites, tent sites, KOA Kabins, and lodges. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the campground, two heated bath houses and two laundry facilities. This KOA also has a park model mobile home that is available for lodging. The beach, pier and lake are available for swimming and fishing at no charge. To get away from camp, some real fishing and a popular hike, try the Carter Caves State Resort Park Trail. This is a moderate 6.7-mile day hike that follows the mountain's ridges to two arches and the Smokey Valley Lake, which is known for its decent fishing.
