Situated on the Mississippi River, the French Quarter is a historic district in New Orleans, Louisiana that hosts annual events and festivals, including Mardi Gras. This district is also home to award-winning hotels that provide access to recreational sites, such as the Louisiana Delta, a bayou area that offers opportunities for fishing and boating.
