Seaford, Delaware, is a small city on U.S. Route 13 in central Delaware. It is located along the Nantichoke River, where visitors can rent boats or stroll down the River Walk, and about a 30-minute to an hour drive from Delaware's popular beaches. Captain John Smith explored the Nantichoke river in 1608 and Seaford, and the surrounding area served as an early American settlement called "Martin's Hundred." The Seaford Museum is filled with the area's Native American and settler history, and the Ross Mansion, an old Delaware plantation, is available for tours and lawn rental.

The Comfort Suites at Seaford is about a mile from the Nantichoke River, but activities and destinations are nearby. It is about an hour from Delaware's beaches; also accessible to visitors are the Killens Pond Water Park, the Killens Pond State Park and the Delaware State Fairgrounds. Bethany Beach is the closest beach to the Comfort Suites, 35 miles away. A complimentary continental breakfast is available, as is free wireless Internet in all of the rooms. The rooms are done in simple décor, mostly tan and white, and are clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool, a sundeck and workout facilities. Rooms run at around $85 per night (2010 pricing).

Recently renovated, the Holiday Inn Express is situated on Williams Pond and is only about a half-hour drive from the Delaware Beaches, like Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach. There is grocery shopping nearby and visitors can drive about 20 minutes to reach Cape Henelopen State Park and the Delaware State Fairgrounds. Rooms are equipped with plasma TVs and free wireless internet, and coffee is served at all hours in the hotel's lobby. At the Holiday Inn, there is an outdoor pool, a business center and workout facilities. The hotel offers a breakfast bar every morning. The rooms are clean and comfortable and run at around $111 a night (2010 pricing).
