Belmont, Wisconsin, is one of the most historic villages in the state. It was the first capital of the Wisconsin Territory, the location where the territorial legislature met for 46 days in 1836. Visitors to Wisconsin can stay in the Baymont Inn & Suites--which is Belmont's only hotel--or they can stay in one of the hotels in a nearby town.

The Baymont Inn & Suites doubles as a hotel and convention center that is able to accommodate hundreds of guests for trade shows, reunions, wedding receptions and more. The hotel includes a number of free amenities, including a complimentary breakfast, use of the business center, access to the fitness center and high-speed Wi-Fi Internet service. The hotel also includes a pool and a restaurant--the Crazy Cow Saloon--which is open daily for lunch and dinner. Guest rooms at the hotel include either double beds, queen beds or king beds. Some rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. The hotel also has suites and whirlpool suites. The hotel is two miles from the historic state capitol building and the campground at Lake Joy.

Country Inn & Suites

The Country Inn & Suites is located outside of Belmont in nearby Prarie du Chien. The hotel features a quaint country-style decor with modern accommodations and amenities. Guests who stay at the hotel can relax in bedrooms that include plush king and queen beds as well as mini refrigerators and microwaves. The hotel also serves a daily country-style breakfast, has an indoor heated pool and includes a fitness center. Guests who stay at the hotel also may use the complimentary Wi-Fi service to access the Internet. Each hotel room features standard amenities such as a clock radio, iron, ironing board, television, phone with voice mail and bathroom amenities.

The Quality Inn in Mineral Point is close to several of the historically significant areas in the state, including the Pendarvis settlement and Governor Dodge State Park. Some of the amenities at the hotel include complimentary Wi-Fi Interent access, a free weekday newspaper, a deluxe complimentary continental breakfast and an indoor pool and hot tub. In addition to standard guest rooms, the hotel includes deluxe king rooms and king hot tub suites. Both of these types of rooms have microwaves and refrigerators.
