The Front Porch Cafe and Gifts
The Front Porch Cafe, located in a charming two-story house just a couple of blocks from the water, fuses cuisines from Mexican to American to Asian. Co-owner and Head Chef Ina Wakstein hails from a Russian household in Brooklyn and brings her family's recipes and expertise to compliment the eclectic style and menu of the restaurant.
Entrees range from the hearty Tuscan-style NY strip steak to the light spaghetti squash or penne with vegetarian meatballs. The unique apple butternut squash soup is a specialty of the house, and the dessert menu includes homemade favorites like Key lime pie and carrot cake. Local artists helped to design the bar, which has a daily happy hour.

Bubba's BBQ White Lake
Just down the road from the Front Porch Cafe is Bubba's BBQ, a restaurant that brings Southern home cooking to upstate New York. Bubba's is situated just steps from the beach and has its own dock, where boaters can pull right up and stop for for a meal.
Housed in a rustic-looking cabin with a wraparound front porch, this barbecue joint serves up "Bubbarific" cuisine like the signature bacon and Monterey jack burger and five-hour-smoked rack of pork ribs. The biscuits are made fresh daily and soaked in mouthwatering gravy, and the fried chicken is battered in bread crumbs and buttermilk. Save room for hot apple pie a la mode or Georgian peach cobbler.

Korean Arts Village
Just four miles down the road in the town of Bethel is the Korean Arts Village, a popular excursion and dining experience for visitors to the area. The restaurant overlooks the shimmering water, and on weekends the karaoke room is packed to the gills.
The cuisine, as you might expect from the name, is authentic Korean. Kimchi, a spicy pickled cabbage, is a favorite, as is bulgogi (beef marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil). Rainbow trout sashimi and roasted duck are available for the not-so-adventurous diner, but take a chance and sample some of the bok-boon-ja (strawberry wine) or soon doobu (seafood stew).
