RV Camping near Faith, South Dakota

Faith, South Dakota, is a small prairie town in Meade County. The area has wide, sweeping farm and grasslands. Road bicyclists can tour the many roads and country routes of the area. Meade County is within two hours of Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park. The most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever found, Sue, was discovered 15 miles from Faith. RV travelers will have to look to neighboring communities in the county for RV parks when visiting Faith. Due to the rural nature of the region, neighboring communities can be up to an hour and a half away.

Rush-No-More Campground

The Rush-No-More Campground is located in Sturgis, also a community in Meade County. The campground can accommodate most sizes of RV. Site hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. The Rush-No-More has bathrooms, showers, a laundry facility, guest house, dump station and a swimming pool. Pets are allowed but must be leashed while in the park. There are picnic tables and barbecue grills for guest use. Rock climbers can climb routes and find bouldering problems at Mount Rushmore National Park and in the Badlands National Park.

Mt. Rodney Luxury Coach Park

There are over 140 RV sites at Mt. Rodney's. Sites can accommodate even the biggest of RVs. There are 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi connections available at each site. Tent campers can be accommodated. Showers, private toilets, barbecue stations, laundry room, a dump station and complimentary morning coffee are amenities at the RV park. Pets are allowed. Hikers can head to Badlands National Park to explore the rugged back country. There are ranger-led nature walks in Badlands National Park where visitors can learn of the flora, fauna and gold rush history of the region.

Glencoe Camp Resort

The Glencoe Camp Resort offers sites for most sizes of RVs, and hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. Wi-Fi and cable TV connections are available. Pets are allowed but must be leashed. Guests can use the showers, bathrooms, laundry facilities, guest house and dump station. The Mount Rushmore to Horsethief Lake trail offers hikers three miles of nature trail to explore the area. The trailhead begins near the Black Hills National Forest visitor center.
