Bass Lake in California is a 4-mile long mountain lake in the Sierra National Forest. Campers will find many federal and privately owned campgrounds in the area that have convenient access to fishing for salmon and trout in Bass Lake and hiking in the Sierra National Forest.

Bass Lake Recreational Resort

Bass Lake Recreational Resort is located just a quarter mile from Bass Lake and offers full and partial hookup campsites. Sites include a picnic table, fire ring and cable TV on some sites. Guests have access to a modern restroom, private showers and a laundry facility as well as a banquet room, a camp store and an outdoor pool with sitting area. Bass Lake Recreational Resort has storage for guest's boats and is less then a mile from a boat launch on Bass Lake.

High Sierra RV Park

High Sierra RV Park is located 3 miles northwest of Bass Lake on the Fresno River. It offers both full and partial hookups sites that include a picnic table, cable TV and wireless Internet. Guests have access to private restrooms and showers as well a laundry area and a recreation hall. The Fresno River borders one side of the property, allowing for waterfront camping and quality trout fishing as well as swimming. There is also a short hiking trail that runs along the river and throughout the forest that surrounds the park. Bass Lake access is less then 4 miles away where guests can enjoy boating and fishing.

Mariposa KOA

Mariposa KOA is located 30 miles northwest of Bass Lake near the entrance to Yosemite National Park. It offers full and partial hookup sites as well as rustic tent sites and camping cabins. All sites include a picnic table, wireless Internet and access to restrooms with private showers. Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool with sitting area, a playground for children and a secluded hiking trail that runs through the surrounding forest. Guests at KOA have access to a bus that provides transportation to Yosemite National Park for a nominal fee and picks guests up at the entrance of the park.
