Take advantage of the campground's location on Hickory Lake to canoe, motorboat, swim or fish for yellow bullhead or dogfish. The campground is open May 1 to September 30.

Sherwood Forest Campground is 11 minutes from the center of town in Aitkin, on the northwest shore of Mille Lacs Lake. Choose from 45 sites for tents and RVs. Full hookups are available. The campground has a pool, children's pool, hot tub, 18-hole mini-golf course, tennis and volleyball courts, archery, picnic area, bathrooms, showers and a laundry room. Anglers can cast out for northern pike along the banks of the Mississippi, just 2 miles away. The campground is open May through September.

Pete's Retreat Family Campground and RV Park, 30 minutes from the center of town in Aitkin, has 97 sites for tents and RVs. Full hookups are available, including Wi-Fi.
