Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa

Recommended by Deepak Chopra, this hotel offers guest rooms lavishly appointed with Turkish towels and walk-in rain showers. Amenities include daily yoga, a nautilus fitness studio, hot tubs, steam rooms, and a heated swimming pool. The hotel even offers a star-gazing deck.

Pampering at the on-site spa focuses on wellness through massage, reflexology, and nutrition. Reds Restaurant offers such delectable selections as Scallop Tacos and Crème Brule.
According to Arizona Highways magazine, one of the more unique weekend or summer packages offered by the Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa is the "Water to Wine Tour" that lasts about three hours and begins with a river ride in a kayak-like flotation device on the Verde River. The ride ends at the Alcantara Vineyard for a tasting of 12 magnificent varietals.

Enchantment Resort

Enchantment Resort is off the beaten path in Boynton Canyon in Sedona. The resort's spa, Mii amo, is unique in that it focuses on Native American and Ayurvedic treatments. Mii amo is the winner of Travel and Leisure's #1 Destination Spa award.

Mountain bikes are available for rental at this outdoor-oriented resort. Guests can also enjoy a par-three golf course and putting green, tennis, swimming, an outdoor whirlpool, championship croquet, and bocce ball. Camp Coyote offers children's activities supervised by trained counselors.

After a day of activity, relax at the Yavapai Restaurant, which was awarded the "Best Award of Excellence" in 2008 and 2009 by Wine Spectator Magazine. Signature dishes include cold smoked buffalo tenderloin and Tasmanian Salmon.

Junipine Resort

The drama of Oak Creek Canyon is exemplified at the Junipine Resort north of Sedona. Though less expensive and more rustic than more luxurious resorts, this location nonetheless offers many comforts. Each of the 50 villas has a fully furnished kitchen and two wood-burning fireplaces. There is a café on-site for casual dining. The refreshing clean air and forest setting of Junipine Resort on Oak Creek Canyon offers hiking trails, stream fishing (both catch and release and catch and keep areas), horseshoes and a basketball court.
