Despite New York City's towering skyscrapers and concrete sidewalks, green space is plentiful in the five boroughs. From the city's 17 nature centers to its 14 miles of beaches, not to mention the behemoth that is Central Park, the urban jungle of New York lends itself to camping, boating, jogging, biking and other outdoor activities. After taking the train in to New York's Pennsylvania Station, stay in an area hotel while exploring the city's green spaces.

Affinia Manhattan

Just steps from Penn Station, you'll find the Affinia Manhattan. This hotel offers Manhattan history, as it opened in 1929 as the Governor Clinton Hotel and features historic touches, such as bronze-relief elevator doors.

The rooms can accommodate up to six people, if the two-bedroom suite is reserved. Other in-room amenities include high-speed Internet access, a pillow menu and cable TV with web browser.
