Taste of Thailand II
Just about six miles south of Blaine in Fridley is Taste of Thailand II, located in a former chain restaurant which has been redecorated with some touches of Asian art. The food, though, is the main draw. Specialties of the restaurant include several types of curries, including chicken masman curry, and green curry. Taste of Thailand also includes traditional spicy Thai dishes and Pad Thai noodle dishes. Taste of Thailand I is located in Saint Paul.

Thanh Do
Thanh Do, one of a pair of Thanh Do Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities area, is located in Anoka, about nine miles from Blaine. The interior of the Anoka is understated, with simple decor and Asian-stylized light features. On the menu are some unique items, including cranberry wonton appetizers, nutty chicken (a dish made with cashews) and a spicy chicken and asparagus dish.

Red Ginger Bistro
About eight miles south of Blaine in Shoreview, Minnesota, the Red Ginger Bistro offers an mix of Asian styles with Thai, Chinese and Singapore fare. Among the Thai offerings are several kinds of Pad Thai, like the signature Red Ginger Pad Thai as well as house specials like Sizzling Triple Crown, which contains chicken, scallops and shrimp along with vegetables.
