Campgrounds in Conroe, Texas
Conroe, in southeast Texas, is just 30 miles north of Houston. Campers will find campgrounds and RV parks that are conveniently close to the area recreational amenities. Activities in the area include fishing for perch and bluegill in Lake Conroe, as well as hiking in the Sam Houston National Forest, which is just north of Conroe.

Woodland Lakes RV Park

Woodland Lakes RV Park is six miles south of downtown Conroe and features three private lakes for guests. It offer 89 sites that all include electric, a picnic table and fire ring, as well as upgraded sites that include sewer hook-ups. Facility amenities include free wireless Internet, cable TV hook-ups and modern restrooms with private showers. There also is a laundry facility and barbecue pavilion for gatherings that is next to one of the lakes. Guests at the park will find quality fishing for bluegill, bass and catfish in the three lakes as well walking trails throughout the park and surrounding forest.

Country Place RV Park

Country Place RV Park is seven miles east of downtown Conroe in the rural community of Cut N Shoot, Texas. It offers spacious full hook-up RV sites that include a patio, picnic table and fire ring, along with free wireless Internet. Facility amenities include modern restrooms with private showers, a laundry room and a meeting room with kitchen, along with a fitness area, game room and camp store. The camp has a short hiking trail that runs around the park in the surrounding forest. There also is a stocked fishing pond where guests can fish for bluegill and bass.

Park on the Lake

Park on the Lake is a waterfront campground on Lake Conroe eight miles north of downtown Conroe. It offers more than 100 lakefront camp sites that include partial hook-ups, a picnic table and fire ring. Facility amenities include modern restrooms with private showers, a laundry area and clubhouse with banquet area as well as a camp store, exercise room and library. The park has a private boat launch for its guests as well room to dock 16 boats at the fishing piers. Lake Conroe has quality fishing for bluegill, perch and crappie.
