The park also features a lodge and a restaurant, as well as rental cottages. The state park itself has a boat ramp and marina, rental boats, three hiking trails, a riding stable, an outdoor swimming pool and an 18-hole public golf course.

The Narrows Campground

The Narrows Campground is the first of three U.S. Army Corps of Engineers camping facilities on Barren River Lake. Situated on a peninsula jutting from the lake's eastern shore, it offers 92 campsites organized into two loops. Each loop has its own central bathhouse. Campsites at The Narrows are designed for both tents and RVs, and all sites have electrical hookups. The campground also has a playground, coin laundry and picnic area, and is located near a marina with a boat ramp. On-site activities include hiking and shore fishing.

Bailey's Point Campground

Bailey's Point is the largest of the Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Barren River Lake. It's located in the wooded slopes on the western side of the lake. The campground features 215 campsites serviced by five separate bathhouses. Many campsites are on the water, and all are considered tent-and-RV sites. However, Loop F consists entirely of sites with no hookups, which makes it the most tent-friendly part of the campground. Amenities include a boat ramp, a coin laundry, a playground, a picnic area, a swimming beach and hiking trails.
