Horseback Trail Rides
Walking through woods ain the freshly fallen snow can be a joy. At the Double K Corral, which is fifteen minutes from downtown Petoskey and open year-round, you can bundle up, and explore a winter wonderland by horseback. No experience is necessary to partake in one of these guided trail rides, but stiff soled boots are a good idea. Reservations are required and the cost is $40 per person per hour, though family or group rates are available upon request. Double K Corral has eight horses and two ponies, and information on them can be viewed at the Double K Corral (also known as Cassell Ranch) website.
