North Carolina RV Beach Campgrounds

The Atlantic Coast of North Carolina offers the opportunity to mix RV travel with outdoor recreation. Cape Lookout and Cape Hatteras offer long stretches of protected natural seashore. These areas are a habitat for a diverse mix of plant and animal species. North Carolina's beaches offer hiking and biking, while canoeing are kayaking are available in rivers, tidal estuaries and along the coast. Fishing, in both fresh and saltwater, is always popular.

Croatan National Forest

Croatan National Forest covers 159,886 acres of costal land, located 133 miles southeast of Raleigh, N.C. The Neuse River campground features six sites with electrical service as well as showers and flush toilets. The Cedar Point Campground features 40 campsites, all of which have electrical hookups, as well as showers and flush toilets. Croatan National Forest has three hiking trails, and canoeing is available in both the Great and Catfish lakes. Wildlife lovers will appreciate the diverse species that call the forest home, including white-tailed deer, black bear and the American alligator.

Camp Hatteras Resort & RV Park

Camp Hatteras Resort & RV Park offers RV campsites with water, sewer and electrical utilities. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are also available on-site. The park has a bathhouse and laundry facilities. Amenities include three swimming pools and a jacuzzi. Basketball, horseshoes and shuffleboard are popular sports. Camp Hatteras Resort & RV Park features 1,000 feet of frontage on the Atlantic Ocean and 1,000 feet of frontage on the Pamlico Sound. Kayak rentals are available on-site, and there are three stocked fishing ponds.

Winner's RV Park

Winner's RV Park is located on Carolina Beach and offers full-hookup RV sites. Twenty-two sites are available, all of which can accommodate 30- and 50-amp electrical service. Outdoor enthusiasts will want to head west to Carolina Beach State Park, which covers 712 acres. Canoeing and kayaking are available in the Cape Fear River, Masonboro Sound and Atlantic Ocean. Fishing for flounder, sheepshead and striped bass is popular. The park contains six miles of trails for hiking, and picnic facilities are available.
